Say hello to our new employees!
October has been a busy month for us! We’ve welcomed 3 new employees to the Traffic Jam Media team, and we think they’re planning on sticking around for the time being... Here’s a little introduction to each of them.
Jennifer - Business Development Manager
I’m Jennifer Hussey (Jen preferably), and I’m the Business Development Manager at Traffic Jam Media.
I wanted to work at TJM because Dav promised fresh fruit, great coffee and amazingly talented people to work with…and so far so good!
When I am not climbing the Welsh Mountains, I am either pounding the pavements, getting all zen with my yoga or making vain attempts to be the next Mary Berry.
Healthy body, healthy mind is my belief, with a little red wine thrown in for good measure.
Who inspires you? My Daughter.
Where’s your favourite place in the world? Oman
What are you currently watching on Netflix? Empire
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Trying to ride a horny camel
Who are your 3 dinner party guests (dead or alive): Gerard Butler, Maya Angelou, David Bowie
Susie - Marketing Manager
I’m Susie, and I’m the new Marketing Manager at Traffic Jam Media.
My career began 8 years ago for a family run construction business, I was given the choice between visiting building sites with sales brochures or taking control of the marketing, so of course marketing was the clear winner (although I did own a hard hat, and attend the UK Concrete show 3 years in a row, yep that is an actual event!) Since then I haven’t looked back.
There are various reasons I wanted to work for Traffic Jam Media, the main one being that throughout my experience, I’ve always been drawn to the digital aspects of the job. I’m an analytical marketer and therefore love the insights gained through digital that you don’t get through traditional channels. When working in a sales or marketing role I feel passion about your product or service is key, and therefore I’m now a very happy marketing manager!
When I’m not in work, I’m either drinking red wine, visiting London/ Manchester for a weekender or lying on the sofa binge watching reality tv.
Who inspires you? Non meat eaters (I promise to try harder next year)
Where’s your favourite place in the world? New York (although I’m off to Cape Town in Jan, so this may change)
What are you currently watching on Netflix? Making a Murderer 2
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Dangled out of a ‘doors off’ helicopter above New York
Who are your 3 ultimate dinner party guests, dead or alive? Ricky Gervais, Kim Kardashian, Philip Schofield
Joe - Marketing Executive
Hello ,I’m Joe and I am the youngest member of the TJM team. I have recently began working as a Marketing Executive.
Traffic Jam Media stood out to me for a number of reasons, but I think it really stood out when I first met the directors, Kim and Davide. Not only had they given me some time already by responding to my emails and giving me advice, tips and pointers, but they instantly seemed like the type of people that I wanted to work for.
Outside of work I tend to focus many of my life around music, good food and good experiences. I also have a passion for researching media and technology. This is something I really adopted whilst at university. Learning about how technology is impacting us individually, as well as a collective whole, fascinates me.
Who inspires you? No one person inspires me. I am inspired by people who try to change things for the better. I am inspired by people who make decisions based on what makes them and those around them happy. I am inspired by people who can speak out when they need to, but also stay quiet when they do not need to speak out.
Where’s your favourite place in the world? Glastonbury. Walking through those gates is like walking into Narnia, only better!
What are you currently watching on Netflix? If you're not watching Making a Murderer: Part 2, you should cancel your subscription.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Far too crazy to reveal this so early on in my employment.
Who are your 3 dinner party guests (dead or alive)? Dave Grohl, Louis Theroux and Marshall McLuhan (media theorist who pretty much predicted Facebook in the 60’s/70’s)
If you’d like to call in to discuss your digital marketing requirements over a coffee, or even just hash out what on earth is going on in Making a Murderer 2, then these are your go to Traffic Jammers… Hello@TrafficJamMedia.co
